INSADONG
If you want to shop for cultural souvenirs, Insadong is a place with a huge variety of traditional Korean crafts and souvenirs. Tea, pottery, hanboks, hanji (traditional paper crafts)–Insadong has it all. There are also art galleries and teahouses along the streets. Traditional snacks go for about KRW 2000 while others such as metal bookmarks, metal chopsticks, and little pouches go for about KRW 2000 – KRW 3000 apiece. In Insadong, you can easily find gifts for friends and families that will not burn a hole in your pocket. Besides, remember to try out their famous Poop Bread which is filled with red bean, or hotteok pancakes filled with nuts which are really delicious as well!
