4. Keep up the negative news
Continuous viewing of bad news on social media is bad for your mental health, but it can also affect your sleep.
Heather Turgeon and Julie Wright, a sleep expert and author of “The Unsleepable Generation,” said watching the news two hours before bedtime takes away sleep time. “If you watch disturbing news, it can be much harder to fall asleep,” he said. “After watching breaking news that makes you feel strong, even if you lie in bed and try to fall asleep, it is highly likely that it will not work as you want.”
